What exactly is a breakfast food? Is It eggs? Meat or steak? Potatoes or hash browns? Cake or donuts? Chicken? Oatmeal? Bagels? Broccoli? Pancakes?
Why do we have preconceived notions of what is or isn’t a “breakfast” food? Why do we think some foods are breakfast-y and others aren’t? Do you eat a bagel and two hours later are starving again? Or can’t even remember what you ate for breakfast? Have you ever indulged in steak and eggs at a breakfast out and felt stuffed for the rest of the day?
Companies want to sell us products. Experiment with different foods to start your day, and see what make you feel good! Does one food leave you sleepy and sluggish? Try eliminating it for a week or two and try other options.
